Cisco and noHold Engage in a
Pilot Project to Create Next-Generation Interactive
Knowledge Portal for Online Customer Support.
Milpitas, CA—February 26, 2001--noHold,Inc., a privately-held developer
of interactive Milpitas, Calif. - (November 20, 2000) - noHold, Inc., the leader
in creating interactive knowledge portals, has initiated a pilot project with
Cisco Systems, Inc., to develop a next-generation technical support Web tool
based on noHold's DynamicDialog™ technology. Cisco is the worldwide leader
in networking for the Internet.
The noHold solution will empower Cisco customers
to receive solutions for their problems from several
independent data sources through a single point of
contact on Cisco’s Web site. The noHold interface
allows users to ask questions or describe problems
in natural language. Then it carries on an intelligent
conversation with the user in a chat-like setting
until it has enough information to present an accurate,
relevant solution.
noHold’s DynamicDialog technology uses a dynamic “query-reason-and-respond” process
that emulates the way a technical support representative interacts with a customer
on-screen. This process includes real-time connection to various independent
structured information sources, delivering the solutions or answers the users
are seeking.
“Our solution is truly innovative because it can access its own knowledge
platform as well as existing legacy databases and third party tools to provide
the exact information users need,” said Diego Ventura, founder and CEO
of noHold. “We use the best aspects of phone support, email, and search
engines, but it’s at a much lower cost. Cisco is a leader in customer support
and services, so we believe it was quite visionary for them to become part of
this pilot program and help strengthen their position.”
